It wasn’t a big deal for me at all. I had 2 white male instructors & they never commented on my hair. I pinned the sides & top  & made sure my hair wasn’t below my collar and that my hat could fit. Sometimes I also had two french braids on the sides or a ponytail. 

I did have a black female instructor tell me to get my hair done however. I paid $65 dollars for some conrows. I took them out after a week and never got my hair done again. No one can force you to pay money to get your hair done.

Just make sure you look professional. You’ll have plenty of time on Sundays (depending on your MTI) to do your hair.
